I am a graphic designer. The interest for graphic design started about 6 years ago. In grade 7, one of my mandatory classes was graphics. As I got to learn what the graphics world was all about, I began to take a real interest to it. I carried on with that class for the rest of my junior high year. Then I moved school's to Technical Vocational High School. I signed up for the graphics program they offered. What I realized was, graphics in grade 7 & 8 was just the very beginning of so much more. 

 

I began to learn more than just making buttons or making someone's hair a different colour. On the production side of it, I learnt how to use so many different machines that I never thought I would, let alone operate. Who would have thought a high school graphics program could offer so much. Then the digital part of it. I not only learnt how to use photoshop in a more advanced way but I was introduced to Adobe IIIustrator and Indesign. These three softwares are the main focus in the class. I learnt what each software's purpose is and did many projects to become more familiar with it.

 

In grade 9, I started off by digitally colourizing a comic book strip to now in grade 12, making my own portfolio, creating my own website, and so much more. I find it so crazy how far I've come. I found something that I enjoy and in some way unique.
